“ Very cozy cafe. I had their brie and crannberry sandwich and it was outstanding. I had questions about the area and they were very knowledgeable. “ Lovely wee cafe. Food was top notch - we had lentil soup, a cheese scone and a haggis roll. All delicious. Staff were so friendly, also v talented as they are all creatives in various mediums such as photography, watercolours and textiles. There's an art gallery and gift shop where you can buy and support their work above the shop, we got a nice print as a souvenir of our NC500 trip. Very dog friendly ”

“ Popped in for a late lunch of soup and toasties...what a delightful place. We got a lovely welcome, excellent food and THE BEST GLUTEN-FREE cake I have EVER had (lemon cake). If you are there on a Thursday the fish van opens up outside at 4pm too. I would highly recommend this lovely family-run cafe. ”

“ I cannot fully put into words, what a joy it was to come across the bridge cafe and the lovely front of house hosts Ailsa and Iain....so warm, welcoming and community, even to strangers...a joy! And then there was the coffee (black), an excellent high marking quality. The food was also excellent during both visits....the first a tasty homemade scone and on the second veggie haggis, eggs x2 and a tatty scone chased by fresh homemade tea cake slice x 2....a really good start fir a days walking. “ We were staying in Poolewe for a week so popped in a couple of times for breakfast and cakes. Absolute gem of a place, lovely people, lovely food and some great art and photography to look at. You can get advice on where to visit, and also recommendations for charity shops across Northwest Scotland if needed! Everyone should drop by is passing or if stopping in Poolewe anyway! ”
